Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement between the City of Huntsville and the low bidder, Carcel & G Construction, L.L.C., for Cecil Ashburn Drive Widening-REBID, Base Bid and Option #2, Project No. 65-14-RD07

This agreement is to award to low bidder Carcel & G Construction, L.L.C. for improvements to Cecil Ashburn Drive between Donegal Drive and Taylor Road, consisting of approximately 3.4 miles of four lane roadway with raised concrete median to include 8’ wide paved shoulders on each side.  Sutton Road between Old Big Cove and Taylor Road will be widened to five lane curb and gutter roadway with concrete sidewalk on both sides. Award base bid in the amount of $17,946,909.50 and award Option No. 2 (Water) in the amount  of $456,560.50 (paid by Huntsville Utilities) for a total contract amount of $18,403,470.00.  Account No. 3080-71-00000-524000-PR7101XX
