Created on October 28, 2004 by Resolution No. 04-829.  It consists of seven (7) members, positions 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, to be appointed by the City Council; positions 6 and 7, to be appointed by the Mayor to serve three-year terms after end of initial term.  The Mayor shall have the authority to appoint two (2) ex officio directors with terms not to exceed the Mayor's term.

The main function of the Tennis Center Board is the oversight of day to day operations of the tennis center.  Meetings are held once a month on various Mondays at 5:00 p.m., at the Huntsville Tennis Center located at 2305 Airport Road.
